Photodetector elements and relief-type diffraction gratings in thin films of As2S3 for integrated optics

Abstract:
The possibility is investigated of constructing combined detection and recording integrated-optics elements and of making relief-type diffraction grating structures on the surfaces of thin-film waveguides utilizing amorphous chalcogenide semiconductors of the As–S–Se system. Photodetector elements and devices for radiation coupling and mode conversion in thin-film waveguides were made from As2S3.
