Interferometry of optical inhomogeneities of laser active media utilizing the Talbot effect

Abstract:
It is demonstrated that an interferometric method which is the interference analog of the Hartmann method is highly efficient for the experimental investigation of dynamic optical inhomogeneities of laser active media. A rigorous theory of the method is developed and its sensitivity is determined.
