Hybrid modes in distributed feedback structures

A. M. Prokhorov, A. A. Spikhal'skiĭ, V. A. Sychugov
Abstract: Explicit expressions are obtained for the reflection and transmission coefficients of the H and E waves interacting with corrugated regions of thin-film and diffused waveguides. An analysis is made of the operation of a thin-film laser with distributed Bragg mirrors and it is shown that, in principle, it should be possible to construct a transmission-type waveguide frequency filter.
