Plasma parameters in the afterglow of a copper vapor laser

Abstract:
In the afterglow discharge of a copper vapor laser, operating in the pulse-periodic regime at a frequency $f\thicksim7$ kHz, measurements were made of the electron density and temperature and of their distributions over the tube radius. An estimate was made of the degree of copper atom ionization on the axis of the discharge.
