Aperture synthesis in devices with spatial light-beam control

Abstract:
A theoretical investigation is made into the possibility of increasing the resolution of a light deflector by the aperture synthesis method using diffraction gratings. It is shown that a scanning beam becomes narrower when diffraction gratings are used to increase the spatial modulation depth of the light wave.
