Statistical characteristic of a "floating" optoacoustic antenna

An analysis is made of the statistical characteristics (the average amplitude $\langle p_1\rangle$ and average intensity $\propto\langle|p_1|^2\rangle$) of an acoustic wave excited by random large-scale perturbation of the boundary surface of a liquid by a surface layer absorbing modulated laser radiation. A detailed analysis is made of various limiting cases.
