Influence of transitions between states with similar energies on the dissociation of polyatomic molecules in a laser radiation field

Full-text PDF (803 kB) Citations (4)
Abstract: It is postulated that the molecular dissociation rate may be enhanced by stimulating transitions between states with the energy difference Δ=1–30 cm–1. Estimates are made which suggest that the following stimulating agents are effective: microwave field, static electric field, static magnetic field, and Langmuir pulsations in a plasma.
