Cayley maps for algebraic groups

Abstract:
The classical Cayley map is a birational isomorphism between the special orthogonal group and its Lie algebra which is equivariant with respect to the adjoint actions. We discuss whether or not maps with these properties can be constructed for other algebraic groups.
