Phase transition at Unruh temperature

Abstract:
A gas of massless fermions at finite temperature and acceleration is considered. A second-order phase transition at the Unruh temperature is found. Implications for the hadronization of quark-gluon plasma formed in heavy-ion collisions and for black hole physics are discussed. In particular, this new phase transition may be related to thermalization in heavy-ion collisions, which points to its analogy with falling into a black hole.
