Abstract:
Currently speedup of information transmission represents one of the vital interdisciplinary problems in computer science, physics and engineering. Recently, various systems based on photonic information processing have been suggested to get advantages in information processing. Typically, such a system mimics some quantum-like physical process that enables to solve NP-hard problem established by means of specific graph, or the network. In my talk, I will analyze the quantum -inspired algorithms based on special network and/or quantum devices (simulators), leading to an acceleration of the solution of some Karp problem. I discuss recently proposed by us novel quantum material (computational “hardware”) concept, which enables interaction of two-level systems with the photonic field in two-dimensional materials possessing complex network interface . The multichannel (multimode) structure of matter–field interaction leads to speedup of photonic information processing. The results obtained pave the way for the design of new photonic circuits, quantum networks for efficient processing of optical information.
