Once upon a time, he involved the author of this report in the analysis of the well-known work of Kirik the Novgorodian, “Teaching on Numbers” (“Uchenie o Chislakh”, or in full, “Uchenie im zha vedati cheloveku chisla vsekh let”).
The report is dedicated to the works of Kirik the Novgorodian with some inclusion in the historical context of 12th-century Veliky Novgorod. Particular attention is paid to the daily division of time proposed by Kirik, including the division of the day into “fractional hours” - in comparison with the division of daily time in the works of scientists from other countries in times close to the 12th century.
