Abstract:
On the basis of the kinetic equation (KE) of the Vlasov type [1], which is a nonperturbative consequence of the QED equations of motion in the quasiparticle representation, we investigate the irreversible behavior of the electron-positron plasma (EPP) created from vacuum under action of an external quasiclassical field. We are limited here by the case of the periodical time dependent electric (“laser”) field [2–4]. The basic KE is $t$-invariant. Nevertheless the EPP reveals some features characteristic for the irreversible processes: the time averaged (in order to except the entropy oscillations) entropy increases. We discuss the possible causes of such EPP behavior.
