Abstract:
In this presentation we introduced a five-dimensional EMD gravity model to
investigate the effect of magnetic field on the QCD features. In particular we
considered chiral action to investigate the chiral sector of the dual boundary theory
and, in particular, investigate the behavior of chiral condensate and the corresponding
chiral critical temperature as a function of the magnetic field.
We talked about the effect of the magnetic field on the chiral condensation. We
computed the chiral condensate in the confined and deconfined phases using two
form factors. We found that chiral features are form-independent.
The condensate magnitude was found to be increasing with $B$ in the confined phase
that is suggesting magnetic catalysis phenomena. Whereas in the deconfined phase
we found the chiral critical temperature decreases with increasing $B$, i.e. inverse
magnetic catalysis phenomenon. These results are in agreement qualitatively well
with lattice results. We have investigated a few other relatively simple form factors
and found similar results in all these cases. It seems that in the deconfined phase, the
inverse magnetic catalysis behavior is a generic feature of our model. Also, we found
that in this model the chiral critical temperature, i.e. $T_{chiral}$ is different from
deconfinement critical temperature, i.e. $T_{crit}$.
