Abstract:
Matrix models arise in many branches of mathematical physics, with powerful
tools to solve them at large-N developed over the years. I will talk about their
generalization with an arbitrary difference-type measure for the eigenvalues.
These models arise naturally in supersymmetric localization and, even if not
solvable in general, can be efficiently treated at weak and strong coupling with
the help of the loop equations. Applications include holographic duality beyond
AdS/CFT.
