Abstract: Electrical circuits are often described via differential algebraic equations: (Es − A)x = b, s ∈ C, where A and E are n×n-matrices and E is singular. It is the aim to increase the bandwidth, i.e. to change the behavior of the modulus of the transfer function along the imaginary axis by adding additional capacities to the electrical circuit. Adding a capacity corresponds to a rank one perturbation of the matrix E.
