A local version of the fundamental theorem of projective geometry and its applications to several complex variables

The classical result in affine and projective geometry on maps taking straight lines to straight lines is generalized to locally defined holomorphic maps taking complex lines with directions in a certain set to complex lines. Applications of such results to CR-maps of real surfaces in complex space, namely tube hypersurfaces and real quadrics, are discussed.
