Representations of reductive p-adic groups

Let k be a non-Archimedean local field and G be a connected reductive group scheme over k. We will introduce the category of admissible representations of G(k). After mentioning parabolic induction, we will discuss constructions of supercuspidal representations via compact open subgroups and compact induction.
