Differential algebra and differential algebraic geometry

At the beginning of 20 century, the idea of studying differential equations using methods of algebraic geometry appeared in the work of Ritt. Today, differential algebra is an autonomous area of algebra. The report will be devoted to the following: the notion of differential algebraic variety and its relation with differential rings and ideals, methods of differential algebra, important problems concerning differential algebraic varieties.
