Abstract:
Leonhard Euler (1707-1783) is the famous and outstanding
scientist and mathematician of XVIII century. His legacy
numberes about 1000 publications. Euler liked educational
activity and we outline his Textbook in Physics "Letters
a une Princesse d' Allemagne" written in French in Berlin
and published in St.Petersburg already after his return to Russia
in 1768-1772 done in 3 volumes.
Our report is dedicated to 250-th Anniversary of this Textbook
publication, to the history of its creation, to its translations
to many languages and especially to Russian done in 2002 by
outstanding Soviet and Russian historian of Science Nina
Ivanovna Nevskaya.
