Abstract:
I shall tell about basic facts of the theory of linear difference equations of type
$$Y(z+1)=A(z)Y(z),$$
where $A(z),Y(z)$ are complex matrices. Then I shall obtain ramifications of theorems that give a positive solution of the Riemann-Hilbert problem for difference equations
