Abstract:
The report will review the elements of the history of mathematics education in Russia by the example of the first Peterhof gymnasiums in1880-1917 and personalities of Teachers of Mathematics first Peterhof gymnasiums - I. Ptashitski, G. Voronoi, M. Durandin, F. Tsvetkov, A. Rosovski, N. Sambikin and P. Karetkin.
Fundamental studies of the history of Russian school of mathematics education in the last period are very active (Y. Kolyagin, G. Kondratiev, V. Odinets, T. Polyakova, V. Pyrkov, O. Savvina, R. Cherkasov, et al.). The most common problems they study are its development and reform. However, one of the little-known aspects of the problem is to study the contribution of teachers in mathematics in the formation of mathematics education in the field.
The history of secondary education in Peterhof considered as a local history, in particular, in researches of V. Gushchin and M. Aheeva. But personalities teachers mathematicians working in the public schools of Peterhof are not developed in any historical and mathematical or in regional literature.
