On derivation of the projection postulate

The role and applicability of the projection postulate in quantum measurement theory is discussed. Drawbacks of the projection postulate explanation via decoherence are discussed. Sequential measurements show that the projection postulate can be considered as a transition to relative probability amplitudes.
