Coding Theory

On Existence of Good Cyclic Almost Linear Codes over Nonprime Fields

G. A. Kabatiansky
Abstract: Kasami?s recent result regarding the existence of good systematic quasicyclic codes with rates $1/l$ and $(l-1)/l$ is generalized to the case of rates $v/l$, $1\leqslant v\leqslant l-1$. As a corollary, it is shown that good group cyclic codes over nonprime fields exist.
