Solution of the twice-coupled problem of instability of a rod of shape memory alloy caused by a direct thermo-elastic phase transformation

Abstract:
Problems of the stability of a rod of shape memory alloy during direct martensitic phase transformation under the action of constant compressive loading are solved taking into account the effect of stresses on the phase transition and the effect of the phase transition on the temperature regime using various statements. A comparison of the results of the solutions is made.
