Longitudinal waves in a saturated porous medium

Abstract: Longitudinal waves in a saturated porous medium simulated by a double-phase medium are under study. Exact expressions for a wave propagation velocity and attenuation coefficient are obtained. High-frequency and low-frequency wave asymptotics is investigated, and partial cases of soft and dry soils are considered.
