Abstract: The problem of a two-dimensional stationary flow of an ideal incompressible heavy vortex-free liquid that flows from beneath a shield is studied. The bottom is considered smooth and horizontal, and the flow is assumed to be subcritical. The existence of a solution that is different from a uniform flow is proved in an exact formulation. It is shown that the solution behaves like a Nekrasov wave at infinity.
