Abstract: Models of vibration-dissociation interaction are verified on the basis of results of numerical simulation of nonequilibrium air flow in the shock layer near vehicles flying in the atmosphere and data of in-flight and wind-tunnel experiments on measurement of ionization and radiative characteristics of the shock layer.
