Changes in the type of the shock-wave structure in high-velocity flows

Abstract: Physical aspects of nonuniqueness of shock-wave structures in supersonic and hypersonic flows are considered. Thermodynamic conditions determining the dual solution domains are analyzed, and the boundaries of the transition from Mach to regular reflection are examined.
