Abstract: The pressure testing of a hole in porous and permeable rock by gas injection is considered. An integral equation for the hole pressure relaxation is obtained whose numerical and analytical solutions describe the dependence of the relaxation time of hole pressure on the reservoir properties of the surrounding porous rock as well as on the initial gas content and the initial pressure gradient in the hole.
Keywords: pressure relaxation, hole pressure testing, porous bed, fluid filtration, elastic capacity.
