Calculation of the aerodynamic characteristics of the 4VTs-15 fan system using the fluent CFD code

Abstract: The physical processes occurring in the flow part of the 4VTs-15 fan system were modeled mathematically using the Fluent code. Distributions of the main gas-dynamic parameters of the process studied (airflow velocity, mass flow rate, and airflow pressure) were obtained, and dead zones and high turbulence zones were found. The efficiency of the use of this system was determined from the modeling results, and a variant of design optimization was proposed to increase the total volumetric airflow to the mine with four operating fans.
