Abstract: A problem of determining stresses in isolated ellipsoidal rigid inclusions contained in an isotropic elastic space exposed to the impact of external forces uniformly distributed at infinity is considered. Examples of inclusions in the form of oblate and prolate spheroids are studied when the problem has a unique solution.
