S. V. Suknev Cherskii Institute of Mining of the North, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, Yakutsk, 677980, Russia
Abstract:
This paper presents a theoretical and experimental study of the formation of tensile cracks in a brittle geomaterial with an elliptical notch under compression with variation in the angle of inclination of the notch to the loading axis. Calculation results are compared with the experimental data obtained.
Keywords:
fracture, geomaterials, scale effect, stress concentration, notch, nonlocal fracture criteria.
