Shock-wave propagation in an elastic rod with a viscoplastic external resistance

I. Shatskyi, V. V. Perepichka

Podstrigach Ivano-Frankovsk Department of the Institute of Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ivano-Frankivsk, 76002, Ukraine
Abstract: The wave problem of perturbation propagation along an elastic rod interacting with the medium is investigated using the model of viscoplastic friction. An exact solution of the problem is obtained for an arbitrary time of the loading period. Analysis of the results is performed.
Keywords: impact, elastic rod, viscoplastic resistance.
