Analytical determination of the time dependence of the concentration of equally charged monoparticles

Abstract: For a flow of equally charged particles with identical mass, the time dependence of their concentration has been derived in the general form based on the continuum-mechanics equations. It is shown that the concentration depends on only the charge and mass of individual particles and their motion time; electric fields from external sources do not affect the volume occupied by the particles. The results obtained are applicable in cases in which magnetic fields can be neglected and electric field can be assumed to be quasi-steadystate.
