Modification of the terahertz electromagnetic response of the semiconducting polymer polyfluorene by graphene oxide particles

Abstract: The terahertz electromagnetic response of composite films based on the semiconducting polymer polyfluorene and graphene oxide particles is examined by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. The spectra of complex permittivity in the range of 0.3–2.8 THz are measured for composite polyfluorene films with 7, 26, 50.6, and 73 wt % graphene oxide. It is found that the terahertz absorption coefficient and the real part of conductivity of the polyfluorene–graphene oxide composite increases significantly with the graphene oxide particles content increase.
