The influence of grain boundaries on the resilience of aluminum nanoclusters

Abstract: The resilience of nanoclusters surrounded by a perfect crystal matrix has been studied via the molecular dynamics approaches. Clusters with sizes of up to 10 nm are found to be unstable and dissolve in the matrix.
