Abstract: The mechanism of generation of electron bunches in the interaction of a laser pulse with a semi-bounded plasma having a blurred boundary with vacuum in the form of a transition layer is investigated.
Keywords: laser pulse, wake wave, semi-bounded plasma, self-injection of electrons, laser-plasma acceleration of electrons.
