Abstract:
A fiber-optic sensor for microbioreactors was designed and manufactured. It measures pH in the range from 6.5 to 9 with an accuracy of $\pm$ 0.2 for small volumes of liquid. The principle of detection is the measurement of blue and green LEDs light absorption in liquid with an indicator. Phenol red is used as a biocompatible indicator.
Keywords:
pH sensor, microbioreactor, phenol red, photodetector with background suppression.
