Abstract:
We investigated the opportunity to create a soft X-ray source in laser-produced plasma without concomitant fast electrons generation. The X-ray source has been created under the interaction of high-contrast relativistic femtosecond laser pulses with super-sonic Argon jets. Optimal conditions when conversion coefficient to soft X-ray at the range 2.9 – 3.3 keV reached 8.57 $\times$ 10$^{-5}$ have been found.
Keywords:
laser plasma, X-ray radiation, gas target.
