Abstract:
The first investigation devoted to experimental modeling of the lift of dust particles by shock wave over a target surface has been performed on the Saturn setup for studying the interaction of laser radiation with a porous chondritic target surface bearing finely dispersed talc particles. Results of experimental modeling can be used to describe the lift of dust particles from the zones of nonlinear and linear elastic deformation of a regolith substance characterizing a meteoroid impact on the Moon’s surface.
