Abstract:
We have studied martensitic transformations and shape memory effect characteristics of titanium nickel alloys (TN-10) for medical applications doped with aluminum up to 4 at% on the TiNiMo–TiMeMo section of the phase diagram. Aluminum produces a quite smooth influence on the start and finish temperatures of direct and reverse martensitic transformations including those under load, which allows the aluminum doping of TiNi alloys to be used as a means of controlling the temperature interval of shape memory effect manifestations.
