Abstract:
This Letter presents the results of numerical simulation of the interaction between a detonation wave and circular obstacles arranged in a checkerboard pattern. The calculations were carried out for the prepared stoichiometric hydrogen–air mixture. The influence of number of rows, spacing between them, and scale effects on the suppression of detonation was investigated. Various modes of attenuation and reinitiation of detonation have been obtained.
