Electron-stimulated desorption of lithium atoms from a Li/Li$_{x}$Au$_{y}$ surface

Abstract:
The processes of electron-stimulated desorption (ESD) of Li atoms in the Li/Li$_{x}$Au$_{y}$ Au/W system have been investigated for the first time. The formation of a semiconductor 2D LixAuy layer is revealed. It is shown that ESD processes occur at the interface of the Li monolayer – 2D LixAuy layer.
