Abstract:
Simulation results and experimental data on the operation of an inductively heated sensor of flow velocity, using fiber Bragg gratings as sensitive elements, are presented. The principle of operation of the sensor is based on the cross-correlation method. In the course of the experiment, it was possible to detect the transit time of the heat pulse between the temperature sensors from 0.2 to 0.5 s, which corresponds to the flow velocity in the range of 0.1 – 0.5 m/s.
