Estimates of the elastic, dielectric and optical characteristics for cubic BAs monocrystal

Abstract: To estimate physical characteristics for cubic BAs crystal Keating's force constant model and Harrison's binding orbital method are used. Both harmonic and anharmonic characteristics are considered. Comparison of the obtained results with the experimental data and other author's calculations shows that the adopted approach is adequate.
Keywords: elastic constants, phonon frequencies, high-frequency and static dielectric constants, electrooptical coefficient, photoelastic constants.
