Abstract:
An approach to the study of the mutual influence of various causes of mortality is outlined. The concepts of observed
and effective mortality are introduced. A method is proposed to restore the current mortality values that are not distorted by the
influence of other causes of mortality. The approach is demonstrated by the example of restoring the current mortality values
while excluding mortality from external causes.
