Graduated (1981) from Novosibirsk Institute of Electrical Engineering (presently, Novosibirsk State Technical University), majoring in Radio-mechanical and Optoelectronic Devices. He received his PhD in Engineering in 1986. He received a Doctor in Engineering degree in 2002. Currently he works as the Head of
Autonomous Information and Control Systems department in NSTU. Research interests are currently focused on nearfield systems, optoelectronic systems for target detection and recognition.
