Luminescent properties of low-temperature plasma on the basis the helium–glutamine

Abstract: The luminescence spectra of a low-temperature plasma of a pulse-periodic discharge in a He–Glu mixture at low pressures not exceeding several tens of Torr have been experimentally studied for the first time. In the spectral range of 200–850 nm, there are intense UV bands of the obtained fragments of glutamine molecules, namely, nitrogen molecules N$^{*}_{2}(C^{3}\Pi_{u}\to B^{3}\Pi_{g})$, and emission bands of carbon monoxides CO$^{*}(B^{1}\Sigma\to A^{1}\Pi)$ in the visible and infrared regions. The highest luminescence yield of molecules of glutamine fragments is achieved at a temperature of the gas-discharge tube wall not exceeding 140$^\circ$C.
