Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences ЃiCUASЃjwhich was founded in 1972 is a full-time comprehensive institution of higher education under the leadership of the Chongqing Municipal Government of P.R.China. The University covers an area of 1921 mu with 2 campuses: Honghe Campus and Xinghu Campus. It has a staff of more than 1300, among which there are 1 member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 100 professors, more than 520 teachers with doctoral or master degree, 18 foreign experts and teachers, and more than 100 visiting or part-time professors and experts.

CUAS has 16 schools and 50 specialties for undergraduates, covering 8 kinds of discipline such as Literature, Sciences, Engineering, Management, Agriculture, Pedagogy, Laws and Arts. At present, about 18000 full-time undergraduates are studying on campuses.
