The Faculty of Sciences and Arts is located on the Terzioglu Campus. The main aims of the faculty are to offer a high-quality education to students and to emphasise the importance of research and publishing. The faculty has established a large number of laboratories and other facilities to enable research to be conducted by scientists of all disciplines and regularly organises conferences and other scientific meetings. Archaeology, Art History, Biology, Chemistry, Turkish History and Physics are departments which are all actively involved in research projects.

The faculty also places emphasis on developing non-academic aspects of students' personalities and several memebers of staff are involved in running student social and cultural clubs.
